What is Alliance Pictures?
Alliance Pictures is a photography and small-scale video production company started by Jo Guitron with a vision of having a way to provide high-quality photos and videos to clients, as well as funding projects that focus on social issues and underrepresented communities. Alliance works in small crews made up of young and motivated team members from the local community, hired and ran by Jo.

My name is Jo and I’m an Arts, Media, and Entertainment California Career and Technical Education graduate and current film production student. My earliest memories of film and photography are from early childhood when I would take my mom’s old cameras and document anything and everything. Since then, I have fallen in love with film and photography through the personal projects I make, the work I’ve done for clients, and my high school film production program where I learned a myriad of technical and organizational skills that have taught me what it takes to create a finished product with a team or solo. I started Alliance Pictures with a vision of having a way to not only take on more client work, but also fund projects for organizations and issues that address the problems I care about. Additionally, I want to use this organization to provide more opportunities to other filmmakers and artists to participate in projects they care about.
