Strengths

I have a lot of experience with making videos from nothing. I know how to organize but rest assured that when problems arise, I will simply figure out how to work with what we have. I really shine when it comes to experimentation and I love a challenge.

Fun facts

My love for film started with me making youtube vlogs as an elementary/middle schooler.
Some of my favorite films are Lala land, Inside (2021), and American Fiction.

Backround on my filmmaking experience thus far

Education-

I have most recently graduated with a California Career and Technical Education certificate in film and media production. This was a three-year, hands on program that taught the processes and hierarchy of film production in a collaborative environment. Through the CTE program, I was a crew member of varying levels up to DP and Director in six student productions in those three years. This has taught me not only practical skills, but also how to work with others to deliver a final product. Additionally, I have taken a summer film intensive through UCLA. In the fall of 2024, I am starting my Film Production degree in college and hope to further my technical and theoretical knowledge, however, I believe that the most valuable education you can get is through the process of doing.

Work Experience-

I have been filming for theatre productions since 2020. Although most of these jobs have been performance recording or making trailers for productions, COVID gave me the opportunity to be a part of multiple narrative-type theatre productions, most notable of which being EDMT's The SpongeBob musical, which was a feature-length film production of the stage musical shot entirely in a warehouse. I have been doing photography since I was very young, and have shot for live band performances as well as done portrait-style photography.

Personal Projects-

I have made a myriad of personal projects over the years, from silly covers and vacation vlogs on YouTube (good luck tracking those down) to experimental cinematography and photography. I have a YouTube channel where I hope to start documenting some of my personal and professional growth. At the end of the day, I am always documenting. Whether or not I create a product to share, my love of keeping records and seeing the world through my camera lens prevails.
